About Pran Chakra Pujanam
Pran Chakra Pujanam is a practical yogic technique I have created using pranayam, the chakras as well as prayers and affirmations.

Why It Is
Pran-Chakra-Pujanam (PCP) is an effort to combine Pranayams, Chakra Meditation, and Mansi Puja (praying in mind). This combination was slowly created after finishing my Yog Shikshak Training by Patanjali Mahila Yog Samiti. The class introduced me to Chakras - Ashta Chakras or the eight chakras. As I practiced pranayams and realized their impact on my mind and body, I realized that pranayams are a basic necessity to stay healthy. Chakras intrigued me as well. As I studied more about chakras, I understood their significance and meanings and their association with the deities.
Having a hectic life and yet not wanting to leave either pranayama or chakra meditation or my daily prayers, I sought to combine the three lengthy activities. By combining the three things, I gained higher consciousness throughout my days. Fifty minutes of Pran-Chakra-Pujanam, five days a week, helped me significantly in all aspects of my life. With this, I gained mindfulness, besides having immense health benefits.
What It Is
As Pran-Chakra-Pujanam is done in an early hour (Brahma Muhurta), our brain is still in Theta waves. This makes us more meditative. Dr. Wendy Suzuki’s Lab demonstrates the benefits of just 13 minutes of focused meditation - bringing concentration and enhancing focus.
We do PCP by focusing on a chakra, praying to the Deity(ies) associated with the chakra, and then affirming the good qualities that arise from awakening the chakra. Then, we do the pranayama related to that chakra. During the pranayam, we keep our mind waves in theta by avoiding getting into thoughts of work/ worry/ or tasks. Instead, we focus on the Deity if it's tough to focus on the chakra. This is when we may use Navadha Bhakti (9 forms of prayers) to associate with our deity.
Eventually, I enhanced the prayer meditations by adding positive affirmations at each chakra. Daily affirmations with Mansi is the strongest placebo - to attain desired qualities. In the conscious effort to seek these qualities, we can imbibe them in our lives.
Lastly, to keep myself super motivated holistically, I added meditations on the “mentors” or “guides” who inspire me during the meditation of most chakras. I feel exceptional souls surround us. If we take a minute to think about the people who have already achieved what we desire, we can stay motivated. This daily motivation is also embedded in Pran-Chakra-Pujanam, where practitioners can choose their inspiration at each Chakra.
Pran-Chakra-Pujanam is tested on several participants to increase dopamine sustainably because it combines meditation, inspiration, gratefulness, high oxygenation, and affirmations in a single hour.
